Enrichment: Gallery Visits, Clubs, Arts Week & Careers in Art
Gallery Visits
After being inspired by the artist John James Audubon to draw and paint pictures of birds, the children had the opportunity to see his original artwork at the Natural History Museum.
Extra Curriculum Clubs:
The children are given the opportunity to take part in a variety of Art based after-school and lunchtime clubs. These include Craft Club, scrapbooking club and Hamma Bead Club. These are well supported by children from Year 1 to Year 6.
Arts Week:
The next Sky Arts week is coming up in June 2025. Look out for more information:
Here are examples of marvellous work from previous Arts Weeks.
The children produced 2D and 3D mark making and explored other areas of arts such as photography.
Careers in Art
We were delighted to have a writer and illustrator, Madison Rowley, visit us and share her illustrations. She also demonstrated to the classes her drawing skills and some of the children had a chance to draw their own Ziggy the Zebra.
Here are some of the children's own illustrations they'd like to use in their own books.
